Minor in Migration Studies
What Will I Learn?
The Minor in Migration Studies prepares students for careers in a number of areas requiring an understanding of current migrations and refugee issues. It also prepares interested students for further graduate study.
Who Can Apply?
As a flexible program, this minor may be completed while current students are pursuing any BA at LAU or after graduation in the case of LAU alumni and graduates from other universities.
Program Educational Objectives
The Minor in Migration Studies aims to:
- Prepare the students for MA programs in migration studies.
- Develop graduates who can pursue a career in governmental and non-governmental organizations focusing on migration issues.
Student Outcomes
Upon completion of the Minor in Migration Studies, students will:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the main theories and concepts in migration studies.
- Analyze the various problems associated with people’s mobility.
- Understand how migration studies relates to other fields such as development, politics, gender, etc.
